The BMT Dynamic Retort Technology (BDRT) is a newly innovated rotary kiln used for the treatment of catalyst and other absorbents.
BMT innovated the kiln in-house using cutting edge technologies with the goal of improving heat transfer into the mercury and NORM contaminated material, resulting in a more efficient process. The kiln is fully compatible with BMT vacuum distillation technology.
These cutting edge technologies were co-developed with a German specialist in chemical plant kilns.
The kiln is:
- More sustainable – less human exposure to mercury contaminated material during the treatment process
- Faster –reduction in cycle time through semi-automatic loading and unloading
- More efficient – reduced energy consumption and re-use of energy released by the process
