On October 21, 2022, BMT Asia’s SSHE Department organized its annual Emergency Fire Drill and Evacuation Training with the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation division of the Nakhon Samut Prakan Municipality in Thailand.

During the training event, the organizers explained how to respond safely and efficiently in the case of fire. The training included basic firefighting, first aid and CPR. A fire evacuation drill was also held to familiarize our staff with the procedure. That way they’ll be better equipped to handle a real-life situation promptly and safely. BMT Asia’s adherence to international occupational and health standards (ISO 45001) will surely benefit our staff and key stakeholders.

At BMT Asia, we put the health and safety of our employees first. Indeed, we make every effort to ensure that work-related risks are kept to a bare minimum.  When emergency situations in the Oil & Gas industry do occur, they’re often dangerous and require an immediate response. That’s why it’s so important to prepare in advance. Ensuring that employers and workers have the necessary equipment, know where to go, and know how to keep themselves safe in emergency situations saves lives.
